Acer AL1912 LCD Monitor
The Acer AL1912, is one of the cheapest 19 inch monitors around. With standard specifications including a resolution of 1280x1024, 0.294mm dot pitch, 140 degrees horizontal and vertical viewing angles this monitor has everything that a user would need from a large sized monitor used primarily for business and home applications. With a response time of 16ms (slow for the newest generation monitors) the LCD monitor delivers adequate performance while watching movies and playing advanced 3D games. Finally, the monitor supports VGA connectors and has two speakers. Our overall recommendation, if you're looking for a SOLID performer which can replace your heavy desktop monitor and make room for more gadgets and junk food on your computer table, this is an excellent choice for the amount of money you save. Sure, it does not give you < 10ms response time, but unless you're a games junkie or want to use this exclusively for watching DVDs, you're not going to notice.Buy this while available -- given that all the latest LCD monitors come in at $400+.

ive had this for almost 2 years now, very happy with it. i havent seen any problems with games or DVDs either.
This monitor will fail on you

I'm currently using this monitor, I've had it for about 2 and half years and recently it has begun to flake out on me. The colors get fuzzy and the screen starts looking terrible. I made sure to check if there was any interference but nothing is turned on around the monitor. That's what I get for purchasing a cheap LCD monitor. Buy at your own risk, it won't last too many years. Why do you think I'm even online researching LCD monitors??? I'm not going to cheap out on the next purchase.
