What do you feel when you see the famed half-eaten Apple logo? Do you find yourself painting? Composing poetry? Starting a rock band? No? Well, according to a study in next month’s Journal of Consumer Research, you should.
Why? Because apparently, the Apple logo — even subliminally — makes people more creative. Which is why we spent three hours staring blankly at an Apple ad before writing this blog and now, well, we can all agree that this is the War and Peace of bloggery.

Acer announced their sexy new laptop called the Aspire Gemstone Blue and yes, it blue us away. Oh, puns, how we love thee!
The beautiful blue notebook is equipped with everything from a Blu-ray drive to a true high-definition screen to an airplane engine that can fly you and your friends anywhere your imagination wants to go,and while that last part isn’t true, we’ll still settle for the Blu-ray drive and the HD screen.
DORmino Powers Mouse Without Batteries

We’re big fans of eco-friendly, we love the way technology is shaping itself around the environment and, in the long-run, we think that it won’t only be helpful to our future populations but also, we just think that most eco-friendly gadgets are damn cool.

Apple’s MacBook, MacBook Pro Get Updates

Apple has released new, more powerful versions of the MacBook Pro today, pumping up the strength of the processor and adding the MacBook Air’s trackpad — which allows users to perform various tasks with multi-touch gestures.
The regular Macbook has been upgraded as well — but with no multi-touch, saddening everyone who has wanted to open up a program by twisting their fingers in that one, special way.
Toshiba Puts HD-DVD Drives in All Laptops

Toshiba has announced that it will ship HD DVD drives in all of its laptops starting in 2008, according to the senior vice president and head of the “never give-up” division. The company has been losing the format fight against Blu-Ray recently, with several companies dropping HD DVD completely and committing fully to Blu-Ray.
Still, the new move is a good one by Toshiba — one of the bigger laptop retailers, it could even get them back in the Blu-Ray race, which is great news for all of us really wish they’d pick a damn format already.
HDMI usage increasing in computers

HDMI Licensing, the group that handles the licensing of the technology specifications to manufacturers has just announced that over 50 PC products that support HDMI are currently in the market.
HDMI is the current standard for connecting HD components to each other, specially HDTVs. With the introduction of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray based drives, growing popularity of high definition IPTV and HD Camcorders that support HDMI, it is no surprise that computer manufacturers are increasingly looking at HDMI over DVI based interfaces.
Bittorrent Entertainment Network Announced

Much to everyone’s surprise, Bram Cohen (not related to Sasha Cohen of Borat Fame) has accepted restrictions placed by the studios, to move ahead with the bigger deal — the BitTorrent Entertainment Network.
According the New York Times, Hollywood studios like Fox, Paramount, Warner and MGM have signed up with the Bittorrent Entertainment Network (BEN) to distribute over 3000 new and old movies.

Dell Rugged Laptop - ATG D620

Dell, invigorated a little bit by the return of err .. Mr Dell, has been busy announcing a number of new products and initiatives. Along with a recent announcement to sell Sony Bravia LCD TVs online, on their shop, Dell has also stepped into a new market by announcing a new rugged laptop.
The ATG (which stands for All Terrain Grade) is designed to MIL-STD 810F standards and will enter an already tough market which is dominated by the Panasonic Toughbook and HP.
