The NEC LCD1935NXM is designed for demanding users who need a large screen at a reasonable price. The monitor provides a SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) resolution with 0.294-millimeter dot pitch and has contrast rating of 450:1. The LCD1935NXM's image quality was above average when we tested a floor model. The horizontal viewing angle is rated at only 130 degrees which may be an issue if you're using this monitor in a board room or living room as a television. It does not affect desktop performance at all.Pixel response time is rated at 16 milliseconds, making the unit well-suited for playing video games and watching DVDs. Hard core gamers and action movie watches MIGHT just want to upgrade to a newer monitor with faster 8ms response times. The monitor accepts analog VGA 15-pin D-sub and DVI-D digital connections with built-in stereo speakers (not a substitute for external speakers).
