Big enough to put a life-sized picture of a newborn on it, the Samsung SynchMaster 204B 20.1” inch LCD Monitor is so good it even makes strange newborn-related analogies work.
The huge LCD screen has an 800:1 contrast ratio, making everything from text to graphics crisp and clean.
Also, with the MagicSpeed 5 ms response time, the monitor makes gaming and DVD-watching a joy. The screen also includes technologies such as the MagicTune, MagicColor, and MagicBright, which help users adjust the image just the way they like it, getting the very best out of whatever it is you’re watching.
The monitor also offers a 1600 x 1200 maximum resolution, a viewing angle of 160 degrees, and a stand that can be adjusted in four ways: height, tilt, pivot and swivel.
Great for general use such as word processing and DVD-watching, the SyncMaster’s only problem is that when it comes to serious, heavy gaming, nitpicking gamers may get frustrated. The 5 ms response time is good, but not that good – and gamers may get frustrated with tiny flaws that only they will notice in the graphics.
Otherwise, the screen is fairly priced and absolutely beautiful to look at – if you’re looking for a large PC monitor to do your daily work and maybe throw a movie on sometime, this one is it.
