Sure, it looks a little bit like a starship, and yes, it has no touchscreen nor is it made by the mysterious goddess, Steve Jobs — but the Sansa m240 Mp3 player is capable, affordable, and should do just about everything you’d want it to do.
The tiny, lightweight audio player holds 1 GB of memory (16 hours of MP3s, 32 hours of WMA audio), includes an integrated radio with 20 presets — something that, maddeningly enough, Apple has yet to do — and a built-in microphone and voice recorder.
The little Mp3 player also supports Microsoft’s PlaysForSure and can run on a single AAA battery for up to 19 hours.
At the price, the little Sansa is a good buy. We’re a little irritated with the AAA battery, which, while meaning that you’ll never be left battery-less as long as there’s a store around, also means you’ll constantly be spending money on batteries. We know it’s cheap to buy batteries, but come on, can’t they include a rechargeable one? Still, if you’re looking to just listen to music without all the fancy-ness of other Mp3 players, the Sansa is a great choice.
