The Sharp LC-20S4US LCD TV is, at times, so delicious, you can just eat it — but we beg you to refrain as it’s a much better TV than it is a cake.

The 20″ inch LCD screen has a 480 x 640 resolution, with a 430 cd/m2 brightness rating, a 500:1 contrast ratio, a 17-degree viewing angle, and a 3D Y/C digital comb filter.

And while it’s not an HDTV, it is an EDTV, which doesn’t mean the TV’s name is Ed, but rather that it is an Enhanced Definition TV that is capable of not only displaying regular 480p television signals, but also video from progressive-scan DVD players. Meaning, in Human Talk, that the image is much better than a standard CRT set, but not as good as an HDTV.

The image is good — not fantastic, not mind-blowing, but this is an LCD screen, after all, and even non-HD images look great on this screen. Cheap beyond compare, with good picture, and small enough to really go anywhere, the Sharp LC-20S4US is worth the buy if you’re in the market for a good TV, and can’t exactly spend the thousands that other TVs ask you to.

Things That Make It Special:

* 500:1 contrast ratio, 430 cd/m2 brightness rating, and a 480 x 640 resolution.
* 3D Y/C digital comb filter.
* 20″ inch LCD EDTV LCD screen
* 17-degree viewing angle.
* Can be named Ed and make sense to a certain degree.
