The Weather Channel made a what now? That’s right, the Weather Channel — the brains behind the Solar Emergency Radio/Light, have crafted a well-made, advanced solar panel or hand crank life-saver of a radio/light that’ll help you in times of need or, at the very least, let you hand-crank a few tunes once in a while.
The powerful 3- or 5- LED light shines bright while the radio gets both AM/FM transmissions with a retractable antenna. The device also comes with a dry compartment for matches and a shoulder strap for, well, strapping it to your shoulders. But you could’ve probably guessed that.
Things That Make It Special:
- Solar powered or hand cranked light/radio.
- AM/FM transmissions.
- Dry compartment for matches.
- Shoulder strap.
- If a bear attacks, you can placate by letting it listen to Green Day.
