With everything visual becoming HD, LCD, or playable on your iPod, it’s no wonder that LCD monitors are saturating the market – and ViewSonic is responsible for making at least 60% of them, even though we’re probably exaggerating.
The ViewSonic VA902B 19” LCD monitor, therefore, is made with a certain degree of perfection.
Featuring a super-fast 8ms video response time, the monitor is perfect for video games, film editing, and anything else you throw at it. It also provides 270 nits of brightness, and a 550:1 contrast ratio – not amazing specs, but really good ones, ones that will make you go, “Ooooh” without having to spend nearly a thousand dollars. Finally, an OnView control interface and an OSD lock function; users will be able to customize every tiny little detail of the image to make it look exactly like you want it.
Stylish, the ViewSonic monitor is sleekly black, matching with just about anything. It can be wall mounted, and uses a specialized base design, which folds 90 degrees.
All in all, the image on this monitor is superb. Bright, crisp, and clear – the quick video response time is perfect for the newest video games and any graphic-heavy medium.
Compatible with Macs and PCs, there’s really very little that’s wrong with the monitor. It works as designed – and while a few customers have complained of dead pixels (a commonplace occurrence in LCD screens), the ViewSonic VA902B is a fairly priced, high-quality monitor that you probably, though we can’t guarantee it, will love.
